Onboard a server

A machine that sits in front of your sites but doesn't host them — a Lightsail/EC2 proxy, a load balancer, a bastion. Register it here and it will enforce your block list.

Why this matters. If traffic reaches your origin through a proxy or tunnel, the packets arrive carrying the proxy's address — the real client IP survives only in a header. So your origin's firewall cannot block a visitor it can plainly see in analytics. The edge is the last place the true IP is still on the packet, which makes it the only place an IP block actually works for fronted sites.
